We had the privilege of counting on the participation of Professor Maggie Gill, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of FACCE-JPI, who presented the Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food security and Climate Change. In addition, researchers from the University of Aberdeen also involved on rice AWD research gave us very interesting talks: Dr. Gareth Norton provided us an overview AWD research in Bangladesh, Dr. Mumni Phukon presented her research on gene expression in response to AWD, and Dr. Matthias Kuhnert, from the Aberdeen modelling group, talked about the possibilities of greenhouse gas modelling in rice systems. The GreenRice team wishes to thank them their valuable participation to the meeting.
